Who We Are

Holger Rupprecht
is a graduate engineer (FH) and managing director of Elascon, a company that manufactures and sells special products for the construction and renovation of suspended ceiling support structures. He is a networker in all possible and impossible subject areas. Through his travels on motorbikes and in camper vans, he came across the possibility of water disinfection using chlorine dioxide and from this he developed and patented the idea for a safe ORS solution. As it turns out, he was not alone in this.

Achim Meyer
holds a PhD in pharmacy and works as a pharmacist. From his earlier position as a project manager in the pharmaceutic industry he brings to the table profound work experience with pharmaceutics especially in the field of electrolytes. Now he advises us on the design and safety of Purosan ORS+.

Ali Eleveld
has a Master’s in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and is the founder of the NGO Safe Water and AIDS Project (SWAP). She has also advised the WHO, UNICEF, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and other organisations. She is organising the field study in rural Kenya with SWAP.

Jana Rupprecht
holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences and due to her internships at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ) and the German Toilet Organisation (GTO) has experience in the field of cholera and sustainable sanitation solutions. Together with Esma Bulut, she will organise the field study in Germany and the one with SWAP in Kenya, which she also prepared.

Esma Bulut
holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences and studies geography. Together with Jana Rupprecht, she will organise the implementation of the field study in Germany and the one with SWAP in Kenya, which she also prepared.

Bernd Fink
is a graduate designer (FH), who has been embellishing Holger's possible and impossible ideas with content concepts, strategy, text and design for years. In his voluntary work, he has initiated and even partly completed some important local projects in the field of education and services of general interest. A secure ORS solution is the project with probably the greatest »impact« he has had to deal with so far.
